Paint your Pet Classic Style at our new studio on the Westside of Santa Cruz!

Send us a photo of any pet, and we will hand sketch the image onto a stretched canvas and show you how to paint your pet step by step in a realistic fashion! Your ticket price includes all art supplies and 4 hours of step-by-step professional instruction!

Your ticket price includes one complimentary drink, which will be available at the studio! Feel free to bring your food and beverages too!

Send us a high-resolution photograph of your pet with clarity and good lighting, and we will hand sketch the image of your pet onto a 14 x 18 stretched canvas for you before the class! We will guide you through the step-by-step process of creating a painted portrait of your pet by showing you the colors to mix and the painting techniques needed to bring your pet portrait to life during the class. Please know that the better the photograph, the better your drawing and painting will be! Headshots give the best result, and most pics received will be cropped to a headshot, but please let us know if you would like the whole body. We suggest avoiding long-distance pictures and action shots as they are challenging to paint. Background elements are OK, but please keep it simple so they do not overpower the pet's portrait or take all your time to paint. Backgrounds can be eliminated and changed with different brush strokes or colors. THIS CLASS IS FOR ONLY ONE PET. We will have an 8 x 10 picture of your pet for you to paint from, but feel free to bring even more photos to reference for your painting. The class is set as a 4-hour class, but some guests may take less time depending on your painting style and photo image. 

Kimberly Godinho owns and founded The Painted Cork; she has been teaching art for 30 years and will teach this unique class. She has developed this class from scratch and has taught the Paint Your Pet Classic since 2010. This class is one of her specialties and her pride and joy! Come and paint your pet with us!  :)

PLEASE NOTE: Paint Your Pet is a non-refundable class. If you cannot make the class, we will reschedule you for a future class. We offer a Paint Your Pet Classic class once a month! You have 30 days to reschedule your canceled registration.
