Paint your Pet Warhol Style!

Join us for our 11th Paint Your Pet fundraiser for SCCAS on June 4th from 12-3 pm. Proceeds from this event go back to SCCAS!

Register for the event and then send us a picture of your pet to  as soon as possible and no later than May 30th, and we will hand sketch it onto your canvas for you before the event! Adoptable pets will be visiting the event! There will also be complimentary munchies and drinks available! Don't miss this fantastic event!

Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter

Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter provides animal rescue, regulation, and humane care that protect the health, public safety, and welfare of people and animals in Santa Cruz County. We currently rescue and assure safe, temporary shelter, veterinary and humane care for approximately 5,000 stray, unwanted, abandoned, mistreated, neglected, and injured animals each year. Our shelter also provides a 24-hour animal rescue service and is Santa Cruz County's only full-service, open-admission animal shelter. SCCAS offers two locations for owners to find and recover their lost pets and adopt new animal companions. The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter is a Joint Powers Authority serving the County of Santa Cruz, the City of Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley, the City of Watsonville, and the City of Capitola. A Board of directors governs SCCAS with representatives from each participating jurisdiction. Our shelters are tangible evidence of Santa Cruz County's commitment to animal welfare. They are supported by numerous volunteers and foster care families who provide thousands of hours of assistance to shelter staff at both shelter locations. We're YOUR community shelter. The iconic and renowned Artist Andy Warhol is a Pop Art legend. He created mass production of images printed and painted repeatedly in bold colors. He used Marilyn Monroe as one of his most popular mass-production subjects and colored her image in every color imaginable.

This class is a colorful twist on our classic version of Paint Your Pet which is more realistic in construction and color. In this class, we will concentrate on all rainbow colors and channel our inner Warhol! If you'd instead paint your pet with natural tones, that's fine too! Our professional Artist will guide you through the process! Let's PAINT!

Send us a picture of your pet to , and we will hand sketch the image of your pet onto a 12 x 12" stretched canvas for you before the class! Please send a high-resolution HEAD SHOT photograph of your pet with clarity and good lighting. Full-body pictures will be cropped for you. We will guide you through the step-by-step process of creating a colorful painted portrait of your pet during the class! Please know that the better the photograph, the better your drawing and painting will be! Background elements in your original photo will be eliminated. THIS CLASS IS FOR ONLY ONE PET. We will have a 4x6 picture of your pet for you to reference.
